Marketing. It's the process of getting your product, service, or message
in the eyes, ears, and hands of potential customers. Through the use of
branding, media placement, the Internet, specialty products, and good old
fashioned relationship building, it's product awareness of you!
You say "It's What We Do." What do you do?
Funny you ask. We consider ourselves your marketing partner, offering you a
complete source for any contact you want with the outside world. We've put together a talented group of folks who know a thing or two about web design, graphic design, video and audio production, media purchases, specialty products, and more. In the current climate of compressed time, why should you have to keep a complete rolodex of providers, vendors, and resources? One call. One invoice. And if needs be, only one butt to chew!
Why do I need outsourced marketing? I have a marketing director.
We are certain you have a very talented marketing department. Perhaps some of the most visionary folks around, and the only bad part for us is that
you hired them first. So why do you need us? It's simple. Unless your
marketing guru is sitting in their office, hand printing your logo on
shirts, then grabbing the video camera for a quick video shoot, meanwhile
designing website, and remembering to send out tweets, chances are, they
need some help. We want to be that partner that your marketing department
turns to for all of your outside marketing department needs.
What is a custom Facebook page?
Setting up your own social media is not all that time consuming, however, like
the difference between a free website, and a custom site, it is how you
present yourself to your potential customers. We can build you a custom tab
for your Facebook, that includes your logo, colors, message, and links back
to your own website. Our graphic designers build them from scratch, rather
than a simple template that will look like everyone else's.
We also can provide you with a custom YouTube channel, Twitter and Myspace!
I went to Best Buy, and bought a nice HD camcorder so I can make my
television commercials. Why don't they look the same as the ones I saw on the Super Bowl?
That makes sense. Sorry we don't have a lot of time to write a thoughtful
answer here, but we have a stethoscope, and just got done watching a 6 hour
marathon of M*A*S*H*, so we are off to fix some people. OK, all kidding
aside, just like a stethoscope doesn't make you a doctor, a camcorder doesn't
make you a videographer. We have all seen very very badly produced television commercials, and in some cases really bad television shows. It's a common theme, but in a lot of cases, you get what you pay for. Don't be alarmed, you don't need the budget for Transformers 3, but the difference that can set you above your competition is in the things people notice right
away. The quality of video.
Can I have The Tyler Ryan Group just do a few tweaks a month on my sites?
Absolutley! As we are sure you know, the key to a solid web presence is
constant content changes and updates to your site. If you have a site,
and want to simply keep it fresh, or maybe don't have the pocket protector
that allows you the ability, we can do that for you. TRG offers various
packages for monthly updates and changes to your site. How many changes
do you need? We can take care of it.
I advertised my business for a whole week on the radio, and nothing really
happened. Does radio even work?
Ah yes...You record a great radio ad, it sounds awesome. You hear it
play for the first time Wednesday afternoon. You have called
all your friends who are listening to it. WOW! You are a star! You run to
the phone and wait, in the ready, for it to ring. Now be careful. You don't
want to answer it on the first ring, but you don't want to loose the
customer, so you spend some time thinking about the proper strategy...while
you work all this out, you realize it's been an hour since the ad was on the
radio, and your phone didn't ring. What gives? Well, it's ok, it's on
again tomorrow. Wait, no calls, but a customer was walking by, and poked
their head in and asked about something they heard. Cool. But wait, that
was only one. Guess radio doesn't work, huh?
Here is a little fact that scares the heck out of small companies with a
little budget. It can take up to 13 weeks for an advertising campaign to
catch on and resonate with a target audience. Does this mean that radio
doesn't work? Did they not like your voice? Did you spend money on the
wrong station? While any one of those could be true, having little response
a week into a new advertising campaign may, in fact, have NOTHING to do with the message, voice, or placement.
You will hear from TRG reps, and anyone who understands how to break
through that wall, that frequency is the key. Remember Pavlov? Did his
dog, after the first ringing of the bell know that a treat was coming?
Was it after 4? It was only after repeating the message several times,
that it connected. Advertising is much the same way.
Through a comprehensive campaign, with frequency, come the customers,
provided there is a need and a desire for your service. Does radio work?
Yes. (Other mediums work too, but you asked about radio.)
Does The Tyler Ryan Group charge a fee just to be represented?
No. Although we do have programs that are recurring, such as SEO web
maintenance, general consultation, and other packages, it doesn't cost you
anything to have us on speed dial as your resource for when you need
something. Maybe it is a one time direct mail piece, or a bunch of logoed
pens for a conference, or even a website face lift, we are here, when you
need us, no strings attached.
I have a place I go for direct mail, a friend who does my website, when I
want to advertise my sale on the television, I just call the station, and I
have read Websites for Dummies. Why do I need a marketing partner?
Much like we discussed with your own in-house marketing director, there is
no need to spend hours on the phone, calling all around town for your
various needs. You can call TRG, give us the list of what you need, and
will fulfill it for you. Spend your time building your business, not making
calls tracking down vendors and suppliers. We will find you the most cost
effective means to meet your needs. Our goal is to get it done, on your
budget, so you have more money to put back into growing your business. You
see, without you, we get to spend a whole lot of time on X-Box.
How much is my site going to cost?
It goes well beyond a "price list" of services we offer. We have several
partners whom we do business with in each area of service. When you come
to TRG, and ask for a website build out, we take your specifications and wish
list, and find the best fit for your requirements, budget, etc., to ensure
you have the best final product, by the most cost efficient means.
I have a booth at a conference, can you help me set up a killer presentation
so I can show the world what I do?
You better believe it! We will provide you with a complete turn key setup, complete with printed standups, posters, audio-video, pamphlets, display racks and more. All of which custom, and will tell the world who you are and what you do. These can be shipped to your office, or even be waiting for you at the trade show when you arrive.
I just don't have the time to send out the tweets, toots, updates, profiles,
emails, blogs, and all the other social media the kids are doing. HELP!
No problem. You'll think we rode in on a horse called Silver to take care of
all that for you. Please pardon the Lone Ranger reference...It's just the mask
is so comfortable to wear...TRG has custom social media packages which will keep your content, fans, readers, and followers all up to date for you. In addition, we will go out and actively recruit new fans and followers. But by utilizing the pocket protector wizbang tricks, you will be all over the Internet.
I bought a web URL, www.mybusinessisthebestever.com so now I am in business, right?
You own the domain name for however long you registered it; however, you need web hosting and a website built to allow potential customers/clients to find you.
Hosting? What?
Hosting is a method that will give your domain name an address on the Internet. This is the location for your information to be provided to the public. A URL is the domain name, and gives an address for people to find you, but like a GPS, the hosting provides the direction to the address, and of course, YOU!
I saw an ad to have a website built or $19.95. Why do I want to pay more?
You can. You can be the proud owner of a $19.95 site. That is not to say that
if you currently have one, it's a bad thing. There are some very decent sites
that you can find. The question comes down to how you want to be represented to the world. When you use an "economically friendly" site, often times you may find they are simply templates that can look like 100 other companies out there. Also, many times, you don't even own the content you worked so hard to build! Unfortunately, there is typically normally a limit as to how many pages of information you can put on the site and usually there are hidden fees that will be added after your site has been built and launched live. Please keep in mind, this doesn't mean you have to sell a kidney to have a site built either. Our web pros will meet with you, and discuss your individual needs. Yes, you read it right...you get to talk to someone. A real live, breathing, honest to goodness person whose job it is to make sure your site and advertisement to the world is exactly what YOU want.
I have a Yahoo web address, and can put together a website with one of their templates. That’s all I need, right?
Yes that is all you need, but consider who your audience is that you are trying
to target. Most of the sites built through Yahoo are searchable via Yahoo and you won’t show up on Google, MSN or Bing unless you have other external activity working in combination to your Yahoo site which can become costly in the long run. Navigating the Internet isn't quite as easy as you might think. If you've checked out such options, you will find quickly that although the template may be rather inexpensive, once you look at all the "marketing" it takes to actually make your brand stand out on the web, the promise of a $19.95 website has been long forgotten.
These are only a few of the questions we get asked when we meet with and consult business owners, marketing directors, and yes, even other marketing firms. If you have a question about The Tyler Ryan Group services, or just marketing in general, please do not hesitate to drop us an email and ask! We won't send you a bill. I promise!
